How did you get into the Wedding & Event industry?
Our start in this industry happened very organically. The three of us share very complementary skills that just marry well together. Adette has a background in graphic design. She is also very into photography, sketching, and painting, so naturally she leads our design process. Liz has a background as a florist, jewelry-designer, and metal-worker, so she is responsible for bringing our designs to life. Erica has a background in marketing, so she takes the lead on our blog, facebook page, twitter account, etc. On a very basic level, we all appreciate good design and love the chance to create beautiful things. We're just lucky that we have found partners that share the same style, sensibilities, and -- at least for now -- willingness to sacrifice sleep!

How did the three of you meet?
The three of us actually met in college while singing in an acappella group together. It wasn't until one very happy happy hour that we discovered our mutual passion for designing extra special celebrations. We decided to go into business together and have been going full-speed since!
Advice for people wanting to pursue a career in the Wedding & Event industry?
This advice isn't just for people in the wedding industry. But for anyone starting a business, our advice is simply to be shameless. Put yourself out there without fear of failure or rejection. Make friends and allies. Ask for help. Reach out to other businesses that you admire. Share your good news and accomplishments. We believe that these simple acts contribute to a lot of small victories. And the sum of those small victories is a successful business supported by a network of friends and fans.
What are some of your favorite stores in NYC?
We all love the window displays (and sale racks #justsaying) at Anthropologie. We have a lot of respect for how they have crafted the brand's personality through their amazing visual displays and print concepts. More recently, we have also fallen in love with Treasure & Bond. It's a gorgeously curated store that sells home accessories, jewelry, furniture, and clothing from small businesses and up-and-coming designers. Proceeds go to NYC non-profits. You can't go wrong with good sales and good karma. We also love to explore vintage stores and flea markets for one-of-a-kind finds to add to our inventory of decorative props.
