Hello :) I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today I hosted a Valentine's Day lunch party with a few of my girlfriends. I have been planning this party for a couple of months now... and it's finally over! With so many ideas in my head, I didn't know where to start... but glitter was a must!!! and it had to be super super cute :)
I had a budget to work with, so you'll see a lot of things missing. Instead of table napkins, I placed a striped notebook for each girls to take home with a glitter sticker heart on top of them. These two items were the first thing I purchased in Korea which then became the two colors that I worked with. The flower vases in the center is a DIY project I've been dying to make ever since I saw them on
Glitter Guide made by the ladies over at
Hey Look. The lovely flowers in the center were purchased at a local supermarket for $5.99! If anyone knows the name of these flowers please let me know!
Table runners!!! Why are they so hard to shop for?? I had no idea! Because it was impossible to find the right table runner, I went to
Hobby Lobby and bought a variety of ribbons to run along the center of the dining table.
And lastly, for the dessert table I went to
Party City and bought a roll of ballon strings for 99 cents!! All 4 colors in one roll! What a deal!! And guess what!?? NO curling involved, I just unraveled the strings and taped them to the wall. To cover the messy taping on the top, I cut out hearts from sample paint colors I got from Home Depot and hung them onto a white string.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
