Beautiful backdrop designed by Dana Tanamachi! This couple used this as their ceremony backdrop/photo booth. I love how they incorporated their family members onto their backdrop.. sort of like a huge wedding program. Brilliant!!

I just ordered my copy of Southern Weddings V2 + V4!! I can't wait to get it in the mail!! Pretty excited! Is it weird that I'm more excited about the hand written note that comes with the package instead of the magazines? Haha just kidding! I'm excited about everything! Love their site and LOVE SOUTHERN WEDDINGS!

Order yours now! Or you'll regret it! I'm sad that V1 + V3 are sold out :(

Confetti, rose petals, rice, wands... or better yet BUBBLES! Who doesn't like bubbles?? This is such a cute idea for the end of the wedding ceremony or when it's time to send off the couple. If you want to learn how to make these cute bubble jars, head over to Emmaline Bride for a supply list.

These would also be great at kid's birthday parties :)

Beautiful draping for an outdoor tent wedding. The two different fabric pattern work well together adding a WOW factor to a simple tent frame. I have to admit, I was never a fan of using red in weddings, but after seeing this photo, I'm a fan!

Carnival Themed Wedding

Carnivals! Who doesn't love them? This couple brought a Ferris wheel to their wedding reception and boy it sure does make a photo look goooood! I love that the couple got to enjoy their reception from a different perspective. It's fun to mingle with your guests at an eye level, but to see it from a bird's eye view makes it quite special. It's like a quick snapshot from above, not something everyone gets to experience.

Valentine's Day

4

Saturday, February 4, 2012

Hello :) I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today I hosted a Valentine's Day lunch party with a few of my girlfriends. I have been planning this party for a couple of months now... and it's finally over! With so many ideas in my head, I didn't know where to start... but glitter was a must!!! and it had to be super super cute :)

I had a budget to work with, so you'll see a lot of things missing. Instead of table napkins, I placed a striped notebook for each girls to take home with a glitter sticker heart on top of them. These two items were the first thing I purchased in Korea which then became the two colors that I worked with. The flower vases in the center is a DIY project I've been dying to make ever since I saw them on Glitter Guide made by the ladies over at Hey Look. The lovely flowers in the center were purchased at a local supermarket for $5.99! If anyone knows the name of these flowers please let me know!

Table runners!!! Why are they so hard to shop for?? I had no idea! Because it was impossible to find the right table runner, I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a variety of ribbons to run along the center of the dining table.

And lastly, for the dessert table I went to Party City and bought a roll of ballon strings for 99 cents!! All 4 colors in one roll! What a deal!! And guess what!?? NO curling involved, I just unraveled the strings and taped them to the wall. To cover the messy taping on the top, I cut out hearts from sample paint colors I got from Home Depot and hung them onto a white string.

After a week of going to Michaels, Target, Hobby Lobby, Party City, T.J.Maxx, HomeGoods & Walmart over and over again... this is what I came up with! I hope you all like what you see :) This is all very new to me, but I had a lot of fun and I like the way everything turned out!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
